Last Day of the Month

So my last summer tribute picture is from earlier this week. My cousin (who is like my little sister) and I like to dress up and play model. I think she's better at the model part and I'm better at the photographer part. Here's one of my favorites that I took of her. I swear, it's senior picture worthy.

Saying Goodbye is the Hardest Thing

My great grandmother died earlier this month. She had suffered through Alzheimer's for a few years; when I learned that she had passed, it was a relief she was no longer suffering. People sent some beautiful flowers for her funeral; one bouquet was of lilies, my favorite flowers.

More Common Ground Love

This picture is of the singer/guitarist/keyboardist from Civil Twilight. Not only is this one of my top five favorite bands, but he is freaking adorable. Plus when he sings their slower songs, it just might be enough to make you fall in love. With him, or if intoxicated, perhaps the guy next to you.

I've got two tickets to...stormy weather?

I won two tickets to my local music festival Common Ground through a Beaner's drawing. And though the weather was close to storming, it was awesome seeing one of my favorite bands play. Before anything started happening, I took this snap shot of the stage and the ominous weather.

Cool Release from the Summer Sun

Today's picture is that of my Aunt's pool. A lovely oasis to relax from the heat and have some quality family time. Getting out of the damn heat has been necessary lately with the weather, so it's nice knowing there's refuge somewhere.

Beginning of a new blog

I realized lately how much I really enjoy taking pictures. So I decided that I should dedicate a blog to my amateur photography. Each month will have a theme, and for the rest of July, it's dedication to summer love! Enjoy!
